Pete's Picture Restorations
-
-
We all have treasured
photographs tucked away somewhere and whenever we see films or websites about
bygone days we are moved to look out our own memories....snapshots of times past
and wish they were clearer and more fitting to place in frames or albums to
share with family members and friends.

Highfield road site?....let's share some memories!
NEWS!
PRINCE CHARLES THANKS PETE!

I recently
made contact with my old Taunton's school best friend David Dyche. We got to
remembering that in our final term there we recorded on tape all the
celebrations of the school's 200th anniversary. I looked out the original tape,
restored it and produced a new CD version.
Whilst doing
this my brother Jake who is a Southampton historian realised it contained a
speech by Lord Mountbatten who was the special guest and he thought Prince
Charles (whose favourite uncle was the late Lord) might like a copy for his
archives. A letter to Clarence House confirmed this and I have just received
(March 2007) a Royal 'thank you' for the 'marvellous recording'! If you
remember the Bicentenary tell me your memories!

Martin Muncaster ....and the cartoonist 'Oz'? Share some
memories.......like the day my camera caught fire 'on air'....and then there was
the terrible trouble with the torn trousers!..................meet
